ANWESHA BHATTACHARYYA

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

Anwesha Bhattacharyya is pursuing her PhD from the Department of Applied Psychology, University of Calcutta. She has clinical experience as a consultant clinical psychologist for more than six years. To hone her skills as a teacher and psychotherapist, she is also pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma in Trauma-Focused Therapy (PGDTFT) from School of Human Ecology, Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai. Besides, she has taught in undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Psychology and has supervised students in their research project-work for the past six years. She has been associated with multiple universities including The Neotia University, University of Calcutta, Rabindra Bharati University, Kazi Nazrul University and so on in full time teaching positions, and also as visiting faculty. She has completed her M.Phil in Clinical Psychology from Ranchi Institute of Neuropsychiatry and Allied Sciences (RINPAS), Ranchi, India with first rank. She has been an invited speaker in various webinars, panel discussions, workshops and orientation programs over the last few years. She has presented oral paper in four national conferences and has been a speaker in various national conferences and an international congress. Her interest areas include child and adolescent psychopathology, depression, anxiety spectrum disorders, psychological trauma and its impact, neuropsychology and positive psychology.

Anwesha Bhattacharyya is an Assistant Professor currently pursuing her PhD in the Department of Applied Psychology at the University of Calcutta. With a robust clinical background spanning over six years as a consultant clinical psychologist, Anwesha is dedicated to integrating her practical insights into her academic pursuits. She is enhancing her teaching and therapeutic skills through a Postgraduate Diploma in Trauma-Focused Therapy (PGDTFT) from the School of Human Ecology, Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai.

In her academic career, Anwesha has taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Psychology and supervised students in their research projects for six years. She has held teaching positions at various institutions including The Neotia University, University of Calcutta, Rabindra Bharati University, and Kazi Nazrul University. Anwesha earned her M.Phil in Clinical Psychology from Ranchi Institute of Neuropsychiatry and Allied Sciences (RINPAS), Ranchi, India, securing the first rank.
